The Miss America pageant is my favorite, second only to the Miss Mississippi pageant! Y'all, it's going to be a good one....last night's talent preliminary winner? A JUMP ROPE ROUTINE by Miss Hawaii!! Yes, it appears she is jumping rope on her bottom! Oh, the anticipation! :)
Of course, I'll be cheering for our third-straight-MSU-communication-major Miss Mississippi!! Go Mary Margaret!S
Now, I was never in a real pageant (unless you count Jr. Miss (or whatever it's called now), which is referred to as a "program" and I was the crummy first alternate), but I sure LOVE to watch (and judge in my mind...ok, and sometimes out loud!) Miss America contestants at all levels!
I know this video has been floating around blogs and facebook, but it's such a classic and guaranteed to get you in the right pageant state of mind....
Have a great Miss America weekend! I'll be watching at an intimate get-together complete with cookie dough and possibly my three-year-old's princess crown adorning my head! ha!
