Yesterday was fun for several different reasons. First, my mom took the kiddos to Carthage to spend time with my grandmother on her 82nd birthday. They had a big time....helping Mammaw with the search-a-word puzzles, eating lunch at the Bakery, helping her pick out a new recliner at Roger's in Walnut Grove, and eating cake. When I called my mom yesterday to check on them, she said Murphy was on his third piece of cake, which just confirmed my suspicion that grandparents cannot be trusted! :) Kidding...sort of. Finally at 16 months, he has a few more teeth coming in so he hasn't had much of an appetite in the last week. He was just making up for it! He now has 6 teeth too!
Mary Reeves is named after my grandmother, and I love that they get to spend time together! It's such a blessing that they know two loving great-grandmothers! Happy birthday, Mammaw!!! You are the best!

Last night, Wes and I had dinner with a couple that has traveled to Ethiopia recently. In fact, the wife has been there for extended periods several times, thanks to her awesome job, so she told us lots of tips and gave us more insight into the culture. We ate up every word and soaked in every photograph! Really made me want to get on a plane to Africa right now!! CANNOT WAIT!
Then, we got some tickets to the basketball game so we decided to try it out. Mary Reeves loved it, but of course, Murphy was restless. We stayed til the half, which I count as a successful trip! After getting the kids to bed, we caught the last few minutes of a fun Bulldog W!
We've also been collecting old cell phones here and there. Please let us know if we can take some off your hands! Every little bit helps, and I love that this fundraiser helps our lovely planet too! Happy Thursday!
