One of our favorite Christmas gifts came from The Canvas Heart, a site I stumbled upon in December (thankfully right before she closed for custom orders), and forwarded to my mom. The artist, Crystal, lived in Ethiopia and learned Amharic, the official language, while she was there, and she now uses her language (and crafty) skills to make cool canvases back here in the States.
We absolutely love it! It's sewn around the border, and she translated John 14:18 to Amharic and, obviously, wrote Max in English. It's proudly displayed in our living room where we see it every day.
It's strange to feel like you (sorta, kinda) have three kids, but only know two of them. We have pics of Mary Reeves and Murphy everywhere, but although we also have Max in our hearts, we didn't really have any visual reminder of him to group with their photos. Now we do, which makes this momma's heart very happy! Thanks, M, and The Canvas Heart!
