The kids had their preschool Christmas parties Friday, and of course they were excited! We are thankful that they love their teachers and school friends!
The night before, we rode around town in our pjs looking at Christmas lights. Murphy loves them! He squealed so much, and both kids were impressed if someone just stuck a white light reindeer in the yard. Of course, the inflatables are MR's fave.
Look at the intensity....tongue out!
We also dipped Ritz cracker peanut butter sandwiches in chocolate (they taste like Girl Scout peanut butter patties) and made iced Christmas cookies. These are my favorite!!! We can't wait to make treat bags for our mailman, garbage men, firefighters, etc. this week!
While MR was a great help, Murphy didn't help much at all...he just played with his truck on the kitchen floor. He was there though!
Chef Daddy even made Pioneer Woman's spaghetti and meatballs for supper that night...delicious!! He got inspired while we watched the Food Network holiday specials that morning, and he found the recipe on his iPad while he was working out...isn't that funny that he was dreaming about meatballs while doing cardio! ha! We dirtied almost every bowl, pot and pan we own, but we had a great day in the kitchen!
Sunday was a beautiful day, and we played outside a little while after church.
Sweet things! We couldn't play too long though....Wes and I gave Mary Reeves her Christmas present from us early....Disney on Ice! Can you tell she was a little excited?!
She liked the opening scene when Donald Duck runs over Aladdin's genie lamp with the zamboni, the shark in Nemo, and of course...the princesses!
Watching intently...
"MR, do you like it?"Although she didn't know a couple of the characters, she LOVED the show and so did I! Wes thought it was ok. :) We both loved sharing it with her though!
Only a few more days left on our Advent countdown....this month has gone by too fast, but I know we have lots of fun ahead of us in the next two weeks!
